Hello, hello! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? How have you been? Are you still as crazy about nails and beauty as when we last talked?
As you know, I got out of the habit of sharing my manicures back in January. And as you also know, once you get out of a habit, it’s so hard to get back into it.
Hopping back on the bandwagon has been in the back (and front) of my mind (on many occasions and non-occasions) for months now, but as more and more time passed, there was more and more pressure to make a grander re-entrance. No one but myself was giving me this pressure, true, but the control freak in me stressed on this one “revival” post that I kept putting it off. Should it be a review? Should I continue from where I left off in January? Does and would anyone care?
And then came the annual August 1st Yokohama Summer Fireworks Festival. Watching and taking photos tonight of the biggest fireworks of the year that run for a full hour, I decided this would be “it,” that this would be my excuse to start again and just have fun with it, sans pressure. They seemed symbolic in a way, with small bulbs rising high into the sky before exploding into bright, carefree, dancing confetti, saying “I’m HEEEERE!”
So here I am, bashful, yet relieved. I’ve missed photographing and chattering and sharing these ramblings with you, so I hope you’ll look out for posts from me in the near future.

You’re back, yay! My devotion paid off, I’ve checked here everyday since…January?!?!?!? Oh my, that makes me sound like a bit of a nut! Let’s see, in the interim, I’ve increased my Dior and Chanel collections rather significantly, not to mention my China Glaze collection, which no longer fits in a single Helmer drawer. My overall collection has gotten rather large, too–a few weeks ago I hit a big milestone number, so now I’m REALLY a crazy polish lady (before I was just a plain crazy polish lady). Notice I’m not saying what that number is, hahaha! You can use your imagination. Right now I don’t have much in the way of lemmings (really weird feeling!), although I did see my first swatch of Chanel Skyline on a British blog earlier this week, so maybe it. July was a big polish month, as I picked up Dior Or Lumiere, Amazonia, Shadow, and Poison and Chanel Frenzy and Vertigo, so maybe I can save some pennies this month (hahaha probably not). So happy you, and your pretty nails, are back!

Welcome back! Peach season it is, eh? Love the fireworks. The photos are lovely, as usual! And…. let’s not talk about how much more stuff I’ve acquired since January
